In the vicinity of Bakhmut, fierce battles are going on with the use of artillery.

According to sources, large-scale artillery battles continue in the Bakhmut area. Every day, over a thousand strikes are carried out against Bakhmut and its environs using mortars, MLRS, cannon artillery and aviation. At the same time, the approaches to the city are actually turned into a wasteland. This is primarily due to the fact that the buildings, trees and other objects located here actually mowed down tens of thousands of blows inflicted over the past three months.

According to Russian and Ukrainian sources, the situation in the Bakhmut area remains extremely difficult. Shooting battles are much less fierce than artillery. At the same time, the situation is seriously aggravated by the weather, due to which the movement of military equipment on the outskirts of Bakhmut is virtually impossible.

Until now, active battles have been fought exclusively in the east of Bakhmut, however, given the current situation in the region, experts believe that Russia will organize an assault on the city from the south, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are also quickly building several defense lines and actively mining the territory.
