The Russian Armed Forces have stepped up strategic missile strikes on key logistics hubs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, using Kh-101 and 3M14T/K Kalibr-NK/PL cruise missiles. According to data coming in over the past few hours, the Kalibr missiles are being launched from Project 636.3 submarines and surface ships of the Black Sea Fleet stationed in the Black Sea. At the same time, Tu-95MS strategic bombers have been spotted on trajectories leading to the Kh-101 missile launch lines. Experts suggest that ammunition depots and transport hubs, including in western Ukraine, may be the targets, although the exact targets of the strikes have not yet been confirmed. At present, the presence of nine Tu-95MS is being recorded in the air, which indicates preparations for the massive use of the missile arsenal. Such data are cited by Russkoye Oruzhie.
Updated data indicates that six Kalibrs were launched from a Black Sea Fleet frigate, which are expected to reach their targets within half an hour of launch. In addition, a second wave of Kalibrs-NK/PL launches was recorded at sea, underscoring the scale of the operation.
With the total number of bombers in the air now at nine, analysts predict that 80 to 110 Kh-101 missiles will be used in the coming hours. These cruise missiles, launched from an altitude of over 10 kilometers, are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 5500 kilometers, making them one of the main threats to the rear facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In light of these events, Ukrainian military sources report heightened air defense readiness, including the use of Western systems such as Patriot and NASAMS to intercept both missiles and drones.
