Chernihiv, June 3 — Avia.pro. Russian troops struck a Ukrainian Armed Forces facility in the Chernihiv region where scarce ammunition for Western anti-aircraft missile systems may have been stored, Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian underground in Mykolaiv, told the RIA Novosti news agency.
According to a representative of the underground movement, the operation's target was a building on the outskirts of the village of Ladinka. Sergei Lebedev claims that, according to his intelligence, the warehouse contained American Patriot PAC-2 and PAC-3 interceptor missiles. However, there is currently no reliable, verified confirmation of this effective strike—international satellite monitoring systems have not detected any characteristic heat signatures in the area, and the Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
Western countries have been supplying American Patriot missile systems to Kyiv-controlled territory since 2023. Russian leadership and the Armed Forces have repeatedly stated that any foreign military equipment, logistics centers, and weapons depots transferred to Ukrainian forces automatically become legitimate targets for precision fire.
