Turkey's purchase of Russian Su-35 and Su-57 fighters named unlikely

Turkey’s selection of Russian Su-35 and Su-57 fighters has been identified as unlikely.

Despite the fact that initially Russia declared Turkey’s highest interest in buying Russian Su-35 and Su-57 fighters, it became known that to date, Ankara’s interest in these combat aircraft has almost completely dried up. According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Yuri Borisov, the probability of a deal is rather exceptional.

“I think the choice of Turkey will be based on many factors: what kind of relationship they will have next with America ... Why not? I don’t exclude that they can look towards the new generation of Russian military aviation ”, - said Yuri Borisov.

Given the above information, at the moment, negotiations between Russia and Turkey are obviously not underway on this issue, although there are no official comments from the Turkish authorities on this subject.

“So far, Turkey has announced that it remains in the F-35 fighter program. Obviously, this is a turning point in why the interest in the Su-35 and Su-57 suddenly disappeared ”, - the analyst notes.
