Polish Minister of Digitalization and Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski has spoken harshly about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, accusing him of ingratitude and of trying to drag Poland into a conflict with Russia. This is how the Polish politician responded to Zelensky's call for Poland to intercept Russian missiles over Ukrainian territory.
"Zelensky wants Poland to fire missiles over Ukraine, which effectively means he is trying to drag Poland into a war with Russia," - Gavkovsky said, emphasizing that such calls are inappropriate and unworthy of the leader of a country that receives significant support from Warsaw.
The minister recalled that Poland has been providing Ukraine with significant military and humanitarian aid since the beginning of the conflict, transferring military equipment, medicines and other resources, as well as providing support to Ukrainian refugees. According to Gavkovsky, Zelensky should show appreciation by thanking Poland for its assistance, rather than demanding the country's additional involvement in hostilities.
