Poland announced its intention to transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine

Poland announced its intention to transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that after the tanks, Poland is ready to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, which are in service with the Polish Air Force. According to Morawiecki, the transfer of combat aircraft to Ukraine will be possible with joint coordination of such actions with other NATO countries - this issue will be resolved at the next meeting of Ukraine's allies at the Ramstein base in Germany.

“We are coordinating all actions aimed at strengthening the defense forces of Ukraine with our NATO partners, including the introduction of Patriots into Ukraine, as well as the organization of a powerful tank formation in the form of Leopards and modern tanks. All this was pressure from our side, but also agreements with the United States. Like a few months ago, in the context of MIGs, any other air force will be involved and possibly transferred in agreement with NATO countries. We will act in full coordination.", - Morawiecki said, emphasizing Poland's readiness to transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

According to open sources, Poland is armed with 48 F-16 fighters (including training ones). This may indicate that Poland is unlikely to be able to transfer more than 3 combat aircraft to Ukraine. However, this poses a very serious threat due to the fact that such aircraft can be equipped with precision glide bombs, as well as air-to-surface missiles.
