Poland will be able to transfer 20 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine without the permission of Germany

Poland had to reduce the supply of MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.

Due to Germany's refusal to provide Ukraine with MiG-29 fighters, put in the past by the GDR in service with Poland, it became known that Warsaw intends in this case to transfer to Ukraine only 20 instead of 28 MiG-29 combat aircraft. Taking into account the fact that Slovakia will transfer another 13 fighters into service with Ukraine, in total the Ukrainian Air Force will be able to receive up to 33 fighters of this type.

Earlier it was reported that Poland intends to provide Ukraine with 28 MiG-29 fighters, however, Berlin stated that Warsaw did not send any requests to the FRG, as a result of which the transfer of aircraft is impossible. At the same time, there is a fairly serious reason to believe that if Berlin refuses to supply Kyiv with these fighters, then the aircraft can be disposed of and transferred to Kyiv for spare parts.

The fact that Ukraine will not receive 8 more fighters is quite encouraging news, since 41 MiG-29 fighters would already pose a very serious threat, especially considering the fact that these aircraft are being re-equipped with Western ammunition.
