Poland secretly transferred 10 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine

Polish publicist Zbigniew Parafianovich announced the secret transfer of about 10 MiG-29 fighters by Poland to Ukraine back in May 2022, which preceded the official announcement of the transfer of aircraft within the framework of the international coalition in support of Ukraine. According to Parafyanovich, the operation was carried out in strict secrecy: the Polish military dismantled the fighters into parts and delivered them to an appointed place in a forest belt on the border with Ukraine.

The Ukrainian side, having received information about the location of parts from fighters in the forest belt, organized a special group of military personnel and technicians to retrieve them and transport them to one of the Ukrainian cities, where 10 MiG-29 fighters were assembled.

This action of the Polish authorities, according to Parafyanovich, occurred before Ukraine’s official consent to the supply of aircraft and other military equipment from NATO countries.
