Early this morning, the Polish military announced the commencement of military air operations in Polish airspace. The measures were taken in the wake of yet another massive Russian air attack on the neighboring country, increasing the risks for border areas.
The command's statement emphasized the readiness of all available forces for immediate response.
"Military aviation operations have begun in Polish airspace," — representatives of the department noted.
NATO allied aircraft are also deployed to ensure security, and ground-based air defense systems and radars have been placed on high alert. The incident did not result in any recorded border violations, but remains under constant monitoring.
