Polish authorities are investigating the discovery of an unidentified drone near the border with Belarus.

Investigative actions are ongoing in the village of Zaremby Warchoły, Ostrow County, Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Poland, following the discovery of an unidentified aerial vehicle. The Mazowieckie Department of the Military Gendarmerie in Warsaw, under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Military Affairs Department of the Warsaw-Ursynów District Prosecutor's Office, is conducting an inspection of the scene. The Military Gendarmerie announced this in an official statement on Platform X on the night of Saturday to Sunday, October 5, 2025:

"The Mazovian Military Police Department in Warsaw, under the direction of the prosecutor of the Military Affairs Department of the Warsaw-Ursynów District Prosecutor's Office, is conducting activities at the site of the discovery of an unidentified aerial vehicle in the village of Zaremby Warchoły, Ostrow County."

According to an RMF FM journalist, the object was found in a ruined state, broken into numerous fragments, in a field near an abandoned house. This circumstance allowed the area to be quickly cordoned off without risk to the population. An expert will be appointed to determine the nature of the object, the time of its fall, and the circumstances of its appearance on Polish territory. The primary objective is to determine whether the discovery is an unmanned aerial vehicle, and if so, whether it is related to military action.

Authorities are currently not confirming whether the object is related to the drones that violated Polish airspace on the night of September 9-10, 2025, during a massive attack on Ukraine.
