The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attempted to strike Russian 39N6 Kasta-2E2 and 96L6 radar systems, which are part of the S-400 Triumph air defense system. These radars, known for their ability to detect targets at significant distances and coordinate air defense systems, were targeted, underscoring Kyiv's efforts to neutralize Russian air defenses.

Nevertheless, Russian forces successfully repelled the attack. Electronic warfare (EW) systems were allegedly used for defense, as reported by Ukrainian media outlets, although they avoided providing details. Experts note that the use of EW systems could have played a key role in jamming the attacking drones' signals, preventing their accurate targeting.
