Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov reported that no attempts by Ukraine to disrupt the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War were recorded.
“We didn’t try anything, everything is fine,” Peskov said, answering a question from journalists on the matter.
As a reminder, the Russian Ministry of Defense previously warned of its readiness to launch a massive strike on central Kyiv if Ukraine attempted to attack Moscow during Victory Day celebrations. On the morning of May 9, a military parade took place on Red Square, aerobatic teams performed in the skies above the capital, and Russian President Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
