Fighters Mirage 2000D Ukraine

The Ukrainian Ambassador to France denied rumors about the transfer of Mirage 2000D fighters to Kyiv

In an interview with the French publication Point, Ukrainian Ambassador to France Vadim Omelchenko denied rumors about the possible transfer of French Mirage 2000D fighters to Kiev, emphasizing that the main focus is currently on training Ukrainian pilots and that Ukraine has relied on American F-16 fighters.

“Please don’t believe rumors, because if something is done, it’s done in silence.”“, Omelchenko said, emphasizing that any actions in this direction are carried out without widespread coverage and speculation.

Omelchenko also mentioned that discussions are ongoing and various options for military-technical cooperation are being considered.

On the Russian side, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and personally the head of the department, Sergei Lavrov, expressed concern about the supply of weapons to Ukraine, believing that this interferes with the resolution of the conflict and draws NATO countries directly into the conflict, representing “playing with fire.” Lavrov stressed that all military assistance to Ukraine from Western countries, including the supply of weapons and personnel training, leads to negative consequences and does not contribute to the start of the negotiation process.
