Ukrainian Armed Forces losses in Ugledar reached 90% of servicemen

The liberation of Ugledar from Ukrainian troops resulted in catastrophic losses for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to data leaked through near-war Telegram channels, losses in the ranks of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine exceeded 90%. The Kiev authorities reportedly imposed an information taboo on the real figures, but information is gradually becoming known thanks to the testimonies of soldiers who survived the defeat.

According to one of the fighters of the 72nd Brigade, after the withdrawal of the remaining units from the city, only about 30 people out of the regular 350 remained in service.

"Out of 350 on the staff, there are up to 30 people left for one platoon. This includes mechanics and drivers. Recently, we have only 14-18 infantrymen left on the front line.", — the serviceman said.

These data indicate a serious depletion of Ukrainian forces in the Ugledar area. The losses, according to sources, are due to fierce fighting and the superiority of the Russian army in firepower and tactics. Ugledar became one of the key points of confrontation and its liberation provided Russian troops with a strategic advantage in this sector of the front.

Despite the heavy defeat, the Ukrainian authorities have not yet given any official comments on the scale of losses in Ugledar. However, concerns are growing among Western experts and military analysts that such losses could seriously undermine the combat capability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction, complicating their further defensive actions.

Meanwhile, the Russian army continues to strengthen its positions in Ugledar and its environs. A successful offensive in this direction and the elimination of significant enemy forces open up new opportunities for further advancement and consolidation of successes in other areas of the front.
