Footage of attack on Russian drilling rig "Krym-2" emerges

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published an extended video of the raid on the jack-up drilling rig "Krym-2", which was carried out on September 11. The video footage shows the preparation and progress of the operation, in which various special forces participated. Information on this matter is provided by "ChP. Sevastopol".

The operation began with the deployment of 14 motorboats with Ukrainian troops on board. During the raid, the boats used M2 Browning heavy machine guns to fire at the drilling platform. The video also shows radio intercepts of a "flash in the air and crash into the sea," which Ukrainian sources claim indicates the downing of a Su-30SM fighter jet.

Despite active fire resistance and air support, the drilling rig "Krym-2" remained under the control of the Russian military. The video footage shows the command post from which the operation was controlled by the Ukrainian special services.

During the raid, the installation was subjected to significant shelling, but the operation to seize the facility was unsuccessful due to the actions of Russian servicemen of the Black Sea Fleet. This is not the first attempt by Ukrainian forces to carry out such raids and, according to experts, more such operations can be expected in the future.
