In the seaport of Temryuk in the Krasnodar Territory, efforts continue to extinguish a large fire at a liquefied petroleum gas transshipment facility, sparked by a nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones. By Friday evening, the fire had grown to 1350 square meters, according to local authorities.
The Krasnodar Krai emergency response center clarified that 68 Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel and 26 pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire. The terminal's personnel were evacuated in advance, and there were no injuries. Earlier, in the first hours after the incident, 32 personnel and eight vehicles were deployed to fight the fire.
The fire broke out while an attack was being repelled: according to the Ministry of Defense, air defense forces shot down one UAV over the region overnight from 23:00 PM Thursday to 07:00 AM Friday. Residents of the Temryuk and Slavyansky districts heard a series of explosions, and footage of bright flashes and thick smoke over the port area appeared online.
