105 rescuers localize fire at oil depot in Kavkazskaya village

On the night of March 19, 2025, air defense forces in the Krasnodar Territory repelled an attack by drones launched, according to authorities, from the territory of Ukraine. The incident occurred in the Kavkazsky District, near the village of Kavkazskaya, where the debris from the downed drone caused a fire at a nearby oil depot. This was reported by the regional operational headquarters, specifying that the situation was under the control of emergency services.

According to the operational headquarters, the fire covered an area of 20 square meters, and the pipeline connecting the tanks was damaged. An automatic fire extinguishing and cooling system was activated at the facility, which helped contain the spread of the fire. Nevertheless, the fire was assigned the fourth rank of complexity, which indicates its seriousness. 105 specialists and 45 units of equipment, including fire brigades and emergency services, arrived at the scene to eliminate the consequences. There are currently no casualties, but the company's duty shift of 30 people was quickly evacuated. The work of the oil depot has been temporarily suspended, and the authorities are assessing the damage.

Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said that all necessary measures to eliminate the consequences are being taken in full. He also noted that the region's air defense continues to operate in an enhanced mode.
