Uryupinsk News, December 14, 2025, Avia.pro. As of Sunday morning, a fire at an oil depot in Uryupinsk, Volgograd Oblast, caused by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the night of December 14, continues to rage. Following the second attack, which marks the second incident at this facility this month (the first occurred on December 3), local authorities and emergency services continue to battle the blaze. Governor Andrei Bocharov previously confirmed that debris from the downed UAV caused the fire, and residents of adjacent buildings were evacuated to the Uryupinskaya Hotel Municipal Unitary Enterprise.
According to the latest reports, firefighters have managed to contain some of the fires, but due to the presence of large volumes of flammable material, the blaze continues, posing a threat to nearby areas. Residents are reporting thick smoke and a strong smell of burning. There are still no injuries, but the situation remains challenging due to ongoing explosions inside the storage tanks.
