A fire that broke out at fuel depots in the city of Proletarsk in the Rostov region has been finally extinguished after more than two weeks, the region's emergency services reported. The large-scale fire, which caused serious damage and required significant efforts to extinguish it, lasted much longer than expected, causing concern among local residents and authorities.
The fire at the fuel depots broke out in mid-August and quickly spread due to the large amount of flammable materials. Firefighters and rescue services worked around the clock to extinguish it, but the process dragged on due to the difficulty of localizing the fire and the need for constant monitoring of fires. Despite all efforts, the fire was completely extinguished only after two weeks.
