Yaroslavl residents suspect that the target of the drone attack on May 19, 2026, was an oil pumping station. They are posting this on social media and Telegram channels, reporting explosions near the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery.

Yaroslavl Region Governor Mikhail Evraev confirmed the massive drone attack in the region, but limited himself to general statements. In his statement, he stated that an industrial facility had been hit. He did not specify which facility was damaged or whether it was an oil pumping station. He did, however, add that there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the incident.

Evraev had previously reported a temporary closure of traffic on the outskirts of the city toward Moscow for safety reasons. The restrictions were later lifted.
