Prigozhin commented on the alleged ban on the mention of PMC "Wagner" in the media

Evgeny Prigozhin commented on the alleged ban on the mention of PMC "Wagner" in the media.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, a Russian businessman and politician, founder of the Wagner PMC, expressed his opinion on the alleged ban on the mention of this private military company in the media. The document, the authenticity of which has not yet been confirmed, was reportedly distributed among the heads of major Russian publications.

Prigogine emphasized that, despite his belief in the possible existence of such a ban, he does not believe that it will bring any benefit to its initiators. The businessman suggested that the ban could have been proposed by the military, whom he regularly criticizes.

"There are quite a few candidates who could do it"- said Prigogine. He also added that some of the editors of the Russian media could play it safe, referring to the alleged ban on the mention of PMC "Wagner" in their materials.

Prigozhin stressed that neither he nor the military company he heads intends to respond to this ban.

The businessman clarified that his company does not seek popularity in the media, but does its own thing. He stated that it was the fighters of the Wagner PMC, despite a serious shortage of ammunition, that liberated Artyomovsk from the Ukrainian military.

"Bureaucrats who forbid mentioning the existence of Wagner PMC make their lives easier in the short term. But in the long run, they will get a slap from the people for trying to shut the mouths and ears of the people", - Yevgeny Prigozhin summed up.
