A Chechen woman who went missing in Armenia was found dead.

Armenian police have confirmed the discovery of the body of 23-year-old Ayshat Baimuradova, a native of Chechnya, who had been missing since October 15. The body was found on October 19 in a rented apartment in the capital, the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The agency noted that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the circumstances of the girl's death are being determined. According to preliminary reports, Baimuradova fled Russia with the help of human rights organizations, fleeing domestic violence. In Armenia, according to those close to her, the persecution has not ceased: before her disappearance, she had been meeting with a new acquaintance whose social media followers included people close to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

"Before her disappearance, she met with a friend whose social media followers include people from Kadyrov's circle," — reported on the Telegram channel "Caution, News".

Information about the cause of death has not yet been released.
