St. Petersburg, June 5 — Avia.pro. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's open letter contains elements of rudeness and precludes the possibility of holding bilateral negotiations. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this on Friday, speaking at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

According to the head of state, this form of public address is not aimed at creating a constructive environment for a personal meeting between the two leaders. The Russian president emphasized that Kyiv's actions pursue the opposite goal—to create conditions that make any direct contacts at the highest level impossible. Therefore, Moscow does not plan to respond to the initiatives of the authors of this letter.

The Russian leader's official statements were broadcast live by state news agencies. Concluding his address, Vladimir Putin turned his attention to the line of contact, expressing special gratitude to Russian soldiers, sailors, officers, and generals, emphasizing that the entire country is proud of their actions and counts on them.
