Putin called Kyiv's attack on the Rostov aviation center a terrorist attack.

At a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the Ukrainian drone attack on the Rostov Regional Air Traffic Management Center as an act of terrorism. The Russian leader emphasized that the strike posed a direct threat to the safety of civilian aircraft. Tragic consequences were avoided solely thanks to the highly professional work of Russian air traffic controllers.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev reported that air traffic in southern Russia will be fully restored within two to three days. As a reminder, the attack on the air traffic control center, which coordinates up to 2 civilian flights daily, temporarily suspended operations at 13 airports in the southern and North Caucasus.

President Putin also said that during his conversation with US President Donald Trump, the topic of the joint fight against Nazism and the significance of the Great Victory were discussed. Furthermore, in the lead-up to May 9, it was noted at the meeting that several leaders of Russia-friendly countries had personally attended the events and would participate in the Victory Day celebrations.
