Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the talks with US President Donald Trump, which took place on August 15, 2025 in Anchorage, Alaska, were held in a "constructive and mutually respectful atmosphere." He said this at a press conference following the summit at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base, TASS reports.
Putin noted that the dialogue was aimed at discussing key issues, including the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, and expressed satisfaction with the open nature of the conversation.
Earlier, Trump said that the talks were a step toward preparing for a possible trilateral meeting with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
