Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law allowing the deployment of citizens from the mobilization reserve to special training exercises to protect critical facilities. The document was published on the official legal acts portal.
Reservists participating in such training are entitled to the same rights, obligations, and social benefits as those attending regular military training. This measure applies to energy, transportation, and oil refining facilities, primarily in the regions where the reservists reside.
Previously, General Staff representatives emphasized that reservists would not be deployed to missions outside the country or in special military operations zones.
The exact period for which the citizens will be held is not specified.
