The president also touched upon the situation in the Kursk region, where, according to him, Ukrainian formations, leaving the region, systematically destroy cultural heritage sites, including churches. He called such actions targeted and promised that Russia would take all necessary measures to punish those guilty of these crimes. Putin also assured that the residents of the Kursk region who suffered from the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) would not be left without support. According to him, the destroyed infrastructure will be restored, and the state will continue to provide assistance to the population of the region.

The president's statements were part of a broader discussion of the conflict's impact on border areas. Putin specifically noted that Russia does not intend to abandon people caught in the fighting and will do everything possible to protect them and restore normal life. These words can be seen as a response to the increasing reports of the difficult humanitarian situation in the Kursk region, where shelling and destruction have been recorded in recent months.
