Russian Air Defense Repelled Attacks by 27 Ukrainian UAVs tonight

On the night of January 15-16, a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the aircraft type took place over the territory of Russia, as a result of which 27 drones were shot down. The situation became especially aggravated in the Belgorod and Voronezh regions, where the main strikes were recorded.

The largest number of UAVs, namely 15 units, were destroyed over the Belgorod region, which indicates that the attack was concentrated on this region. The Voronezh region also became a significant target of the attack, with seven drones shot down over its territory. Three UAVs were destroyed over the Tambov region, and two over the Kursk region.

The events in the Liski district of the Voronezh region, where an oil depot was attacked by the enemy, were especially alarming. According to local authorities, a fire broke out after the shelling, which required immediate intervention by fire services. Voronezh region governor Alexander Gusev reported that large forces were deployed to fight the fire, including two fire trains that arrived from neighboring regions.

The oil depot in the Liski district is an important facility for providing the region with fuel, and its destruction could lead to serious consequences for energy security.

The events of the night confirm that Russia's air defenses are working hard to prevent potential destruction and loss of life. However, it also raises questions about the need to further strengthen air defenses, especially in the interior of the country.
