Russian air defense shot down an aggressive drone on approach to the largest airfield in Crimea

A drone was shot down on approach to the largest military airfield in Crimea.

Tonight, residents of the Crimea heard several powerful claps that thundered in the area of the Belbek airfield. As it turned out, the cause of the explosions was the appearance of an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle near the military airfield, which, according to the governor of Sevastopol, was successfully shot down.

Initially, information was disseminated that explosions (and 3-4 strong bangs were reported) thundered on the territory of the Belbek airport itself, however, later video footage appeared on which you can see that in reality only the air defense system was working, which shot down the unmanned aircraft.

At the moment, it is known that as a result of the work of air defense systems there are no victims and destructions, however, there are no details regarding which particular drone was shot down, to whom it belonged and where it was launched from. It is not yet possible to assert that we are talking about a military drone, since we can talk about an amateur drone.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not yet made any official statements regarding the operation of air defense systems over the Belbek airfield, where a large air base of the Russian Aerospace Forces and a civilian airport are located.
