The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the successful repulsion of one of the largest drone attacks in recent memory: on the night of December 3, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 102 Ukrainian fixed-wing aircraft over seven regions of the country.

The main blow fell on the border regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk, where 26, 22, and 21 drones were shot down, respectively. A significant number of drones attempted to penetrate deeper into the region: 16 were destroyed over Rostov Oblast, 7 over Astrakhan Oblast, 6 over Saratov Oblast, and 4 over Voronezh Oblast.

All targets were struck at a safe distance from populated areas and critical infrastructure. At the time of publication, there were no reports of casualties or damage. This attack was the second in recent days involving more than a hundred drones, confirming Kyiv's efforts to inflict maximum damage on Russia's rear areas before a possible winter lull.
