The Syrian army destroyed another Turkish drone.

Several hours ago, Syrian air defense systems discovered and successfully shot down an unknown Turkish drone, which tried to approach the positions of the Syrian military in the Aleppo region. Initially, it was assumed that we are talking about an Iranian drone, which carried out the adjustment of strikes on the positions of Turkish mercenaries, however, the Russian military confirmed information that we are talking about a drone flying from an area occupied by illegal armed groups.

"An unmanned aerial vehicle of illegal armed groups operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone, carrying out reconnaissance operations, fell in the area of ​​the settlement of Buyibiya, Aleppo province.", - said in the message of the Central Command Center in Syria of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

On the presented video frames, you can see the first moments after the successful defeat of the drone. Experts pay attention to the fact that we are talking about a large UAV, apparently, mass-produced, and not by a handicraft method. More noteworthy, the Turkish ANKA-S UAV was also sighted over the region a few days ago. This was the reason to declare that it was the Turkish UAV that was shot down.

At the moment, it was not possible to establish the type of drone and its affiliation, since the wreckage of the UAV has not yet been found. Considering the fact that the Syrian air defense systems almost immediately shoot down drones that appear over the positions of the SAA, it indicates that the air defense of the republic is constantly on the highest level of combat readiness and will be able to react to any threats.
