SVO News, December 12, 2025, Avia.pro. On the night of December 12, Russian air defense alert assets intercepted and destroyed ninety fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) heading toward targets within the country, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The majority of the drones—sixty-three—were shot down over the Bryansk Region. Eight drones each were destroyed over the Yaroslavl Region and the Moscow Region, including four over the Moscow Region itself. Three drones were destroyed over the Smolensk and Tver Regions, as well as in the Black Sea. Two drones were intercepted over the Tambov and Tula Regions, and one each over the Oryol and Rostov Regions.
"Over the course of the past night, 90 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," - said the agency.
According to preliminary data, the attacks did not result in casualties or damage, although debris from one of the downed drones struck a residential building in Tver, injuring seven people, including a child.
