The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception and destruction of 116 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by Ukraine. The incident occurred on the night of December 6 over several federal subjects.
According to the agency, the largest number of drones—29—were shot down in the Ryazan Region. Twenty-seven were destroyed in the Voronezh Region, 23 in the Bryansk Region, and 21 in the Belgorod Region. Additionally, six drones were intercepted over the Tver Region, three each over the Kursk and Lipetsk Regions, two over the Tambov Region, and one each over the Tula and Oryol Regions.
"During the past night, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 116 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," — the official statement from the Ministry of Defense says.
The information was confirmed in a daily report published on the defense department's Telegram channel.
