The circumstances of the combined strikes on the objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are revealed

On the night of June 2, strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS of the Russian Aerospace Forces, including 6 units, advanced to the launch lines of Kh-101 and Kh-555 cruise missiles aimed at key facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kiev and other regions. The bombers had an arsenal of 36-72 missiles.

Approximately 2-3 hours before the missile carriers entered the positions for launching missiles from the Caspian Sea zone, a group of Geran-2 kamikaze drones was launched. These drones, flying at a speed 6 times lower than the speed of missiles, reached their targets almost simultaneously with them.

This method of attack made it possible to create a high concentration of strike weapons, overloading the air defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and bringing down most of the attacks on large cities. Kyiv was particularly hard hit, with about 35-40 rockets and drones sent to its territory.

Despite the claims of Kyiv propaganda about the high efficiency of the missile defense system of the Ukrainian capital, on the morning of June 2, video footage taken by surveillance cameras was published. These videos show that due to the small detection radius and low flight altitude of the Geran-2 kamikaze drones, their detection and tracking were carried out late. It was also noted that target designation for IRIS-T SLM surface-to-air missiles was delayed.

As a result, even with the use of thrust vector deflection systems, one of the IRIS-T SLM missiles failed to make the necessary turn to destroy the Geran-2 warhead and instead left in an unpredictable direction, hitting the urban areas of Kiev.
