Flights from Riga to Stockholm and Brussels are canceled by Ryanair

13 January 2014. Ireland Airlines - Ryanair From the middle of January 2014 all flights from Riga to Brussels (Belgium) will be canceled, and at the end of January all flights to Stockholm (Sweden).

Elina Hakarainen (representative of Ryanair) said that flights are canceled because of the insufficient number of aircraft in the air fleet of the airline. She also added that the purchase of new comfortable Boeing aircraft has already been planned for September, after which the canceled flights will be restored.

The Riga airport staff confirmed the information provided by Ryanair.

Elina Krastina (airport employee) provided information that planes of such airlines as Norwegian and airBaltic also fly to Stockholm from Riga.
