This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasizing that the country has carefully prepared for such challenges.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the strategy of economic and political isolation chosen by the West against Moscow after the start of the special military operation in Ukraine did not come as a surprise to the Russian leadership. Moscow initially anticipated prolonged pressure from the West and prepared the country's economy for survival under the sanctions regime.
