Russia and China conducted joint air patrol

The Russian Aerospace Forces and the Chinese Air Force carried out another joint patrol in the Asia-Pacific region. The flight lasted about eight hours and included Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers and Hong-6K strategic bombers. The route passed over the waters of the Sea of ​​Japan and the East China Sea, as well as the western part of the Pacific Ocean. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

To ensure the safety of the flight of strategic aircraft, they were accompanied by Russian and Chinese fighters: Su-30SM and MiG-31 of the Russian Aerospace Forces, as well as Jian-16 of the Chinese Air Force. At some stages of the route, Russian and Chinese aircraft were accompanied by fighters of foreign countries. It is noteworthy that Russian missile carriers took off and landed at an airfield in China for the first time, demonstrating the deepening of military cooperation between the two countries.

The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that the joint patrol was conducted strictly within the framework of international law. There were no violations of foreign airspace.
