Russia began to create a ground version of the Zircon rocket

Russia has begun to develop a ground-based version of the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile.

Against the background of the final tests of the newest Russian hypersonic cruise missile "Zircon", it became known that Russian specialists are engaged in the development of a ground-based tactical missile system that will be capable of striking land and sea targets with cruise missiles "Zircon".

As follows from the statement made by the head of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation, a ground version of a hypersonic missile will appear in the near future. In fact, in order to "land" such a missile, it will only be necessary to slightly change the ammunition itself and its launcher. The capabilities of the land-based option may turn out to be much wider than that of the sea one.

“Should she appear on earth? There will be a task - it will appear. It will be easier than launching from boat and ship. Development of Zircon is on schedule. This is a very sophisticated weapon. I have personally attended several tests. Amazing effect. Our competitors can catch up with us on hypersound if we stop. "- said the general director of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation Boris Obnosov.

According to experts, the range of destruction of the ground version of the "Zircon" can reach 2-2,5 thousand kilometers. This will allow within just a few minutes to strike at any target in Europe, which is especially important against the background of the West's attempts to exert military pressure on Russia.

The timing of the project is still unknown, however, it is estimated that it will take no more than 2-3 years.

God forbid you to see him yet.
