Russia sent three more submarines armed with cruise missiles to the shores of Syria

Three more submarines were sent to the Russian naval base in Syria.

Russia sent three submarines of the Russian Navy to the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea. At the moment, it is known that three Russian submarines, and we are talking about diesel-electric submarines "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky", "Volkhov" and "Krasnodar", were seen moving towards the Syrian coast. It is assumed that at least one Russian submarine will head towards the Suez Canal. The other two are likely to join the Russian naval group in Syria, at least previously, the planned rotation of forces was not reported.

Recently, Russia has been actively striking terrorists in the Syrian province of Idlib. At the same time, taking into account the beginning of serious clashes in Daraa in the south-west of the SAR, there is a possibility that Russian submarines may well take part in striking militants, although this has not been practiced recently, since the Russian Aerospace Forces are quite coping with such tasks ...

There are no official comments from the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Russian Navy command on this matter yet, however, the advancement of Russian submarines into the Mediterranean Sea has already made NATO nervous, since Russian submarines are constantly monitored, including with the involvement of aviation.
