Russian attack UAV "Orion", after a successful exam in Syria, will begin to be supplied to the troops in large quantities.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation intends to purchase 21 Orion unmanned aerial vehicles after these drones have successfully proven themselves in Syria, where they managed to take part in 17 combat missions, which, obviously, attracted the active attention of the Russian defense department.

According to official data, we are talking about the supply of 7 sets of weapons, each of which includes three unmanned reconnaissance and strike aircraft, as well as a control center for drones. The timing of the implementation of such a contract has not yet been stipulated, however, according to a number of sources, all 7 sets of weapons will be delivered to the Russian army in 2021.

Noteworthy is the fact that in addition to the bomb load, domestic Orion drones are also armed with gliding bombs, which can hit targets at distances of up to 30 kilometers, and, according to the Svobodnaya Pressa publication, the Kh-50 cruise aircraft guided missiles have a range targets of which are up to 1500 kilometers, which makes it possible to deliver accurate and powerful strikes against enemy forces on land and at sea.
