Russia may publish a new list of citizens missing in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador for Special Assignments on Crimes of the Kyiv Regime Rodion Miroshnik. He noted that work on collecting information about missing residents continues and such lists will be supplemented as the data is clarified.
"I think so. As the necessary information is filled in, these 'blank spots' will disappear," — Miroshnik said in an interview with RIA Novosti, answering a question about the possible publication of a new list of missing persons.
Earlier, the Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova had already presented a list of 517 people wanted in the Kursk region. For various reasons, these citizens have not contacted their relatives, which is a cause for concern and requires additional checks.
According to Miroshnik, there is evidence that dozens of residents of the Kursk region may have been forcibly taken to the territory of the Sumy region by Ukrainian militants. However, the exact number and circumstances of this removal remain unclear due to difficulties in communication and lack of cooperation from Ukraine.
"These are dozens of people who, for some reason, ended up in the Sumy region. Again, due to the difficulty of communication, this information is preliminary," - he noted.
Miroshnik emphasized that it is extremely difficult to collect reliable information about the fate of the missing. Information comes from various sources and is checked literally "bit by bit." Ukraine, despite the norms of international humanitarian law, does not cooperate on these issues, which significantly complicates the process of searching for and clarifying data on the whereabouts of the missing.
