Russia has deployed Tu-22M3 long-range bombers to Syria. Video

Long-range Tu-22M3 bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces have been spotted over Syria.

The news agency Avia.pro obtained evidence of the use of Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers in Syria. The circumstances of the appearance of the latter in the sky over the Syrian province of Latakia and the purpose of the transfer to Syria are still unknown, however, apparently, Russian bomber aircraft appeared here to demonstrate strength to the American fleet, namely, three landing ships with American marines on board, about the appearance which in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the editors have already reported.

In the video footage presented, you can see the flight of Russian long-range Tu-22M3 bombers in the sky over the Syrian province of Latakia, and, judging by the released landing gear, the plane could well land at the Russian military airbase "Khmeimim", although it was previously assumed that due to the peculiarities of these bombers , they cannot use the infrastructure of the Russian military airfield.

There are no official comments from representatives of the command of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria on this matter, however, experts note that the use of such bombers in Syria may indicate the readiness of the Russian military to begin to launch powerful strikes on militants and jihadists, although the fact remains unknown. who exactly will become the key target of the Russian Aerospace Forces - terrorists of the "Islamic State" (a terrorist group banned in the Russian Federation - editor's note) or pro-Turkish jihadists.
