Russia hands over drones to Hezbollah, talks with Houthis over missile supplies

According to information published by the Lebanese newspaper An Nahar, citing intelligence sources, Russia has transferred drones to the radical Shiite organization Hezbollah and is training its militants to use them. These data confirmed Israeli television channel Kan 11, sparking a new wave of concern about Russia's expanding aid to the Middle East.

Hezbollah is a Lebanese Shiite militant group that has long received support from Iran, but reports of cooperation with Russia open a new chapter in its military capabilities. Russia has provided Hezbollah with sophisticated unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and trained members to use them for reconnaissance missions and strikes, the sources said.

The transfer of the drones represents a significant boost to Hezbollah's capabilities amid the worsening situation in the region. The use of UAVs allows the group to more effectively control territory, conduct pinpoint attacks, and conduct surveillance on adversaries, including Israel.

At the same time, sources report that Russia is negotiating with Yemen's Houthi rebels about the transfer of anti-ship missiles.

At the moment, the Russian side has not made any official comments on this matter.
