On the night of September 10, the air defense forces of the Russian Federation repelled a large-scale drone attack aimed at the territories of several Russian regions. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a total of 144 Ukrainian drones were destroyed overnight, which was one of the largest attacks of this kind in recent times.
According to official information, 72 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the territory of the Bryansk region, which became the main target of the strike. A significant number of drones - 20 devices - were intercepted in the airspace of the Moscow region, which was also subjected to intensive attack. Over the Kursk region, air defense forces destroyed 14 drones, another 13 devices were shot down over the Tula region. Attacks were also recorded in other regions: eight drones were intercepted over the Belgorod region, seven over the Kaluga region, five over the Voronezh region, four over the Lipetsk region and one over the Oryol region.
Experts believe that the main goal of this large-scale drone attack was an attempt to destabilize the work of civilian and military infrastructure, as well as to exert psychological pressure on the population. However, the successful work of Russia's air defense made it possible to prevent significant destruction and casualties.
