Moscow and Damascus have reached an agreement on a complete clean-up of Idlib, regardless of Erdogan's opinion.

The Syrian military reports that, as part of a meeting held between representatives of Russia and Syria, an agreement was reached to launch a military operation in Idlib to liberate the region. It is planned to start a military operation within the first 2-3 months of next year. At the same time, the operation will not be discussed with the Turkish side against the background of the fact that Erdogan independently decided to start hostilities in northern Syria.

“There are rumors in Syria that at the recent Turkish-Russian military meeting, the Russian side allegedly told the Turks that Idlib would be cleaned up, regardless of the circumstances (despite the presence of the Turkish armed forces). It was announced that the centers of terrorism in this province will be eliminated. However, the timing of the operation has not yet been determined, it will probably be carried out in 2022 ", - informs "Telegram" - community "Militarist".

Since the conclusion of the agreements between Moscow and Ankara, Turkey has not fulfilled any of its obligations. At the same time, the Turkish side pulled additional troops into Idlib against the background of the expected escalation of the situation in the region. This does not exclude the possibility that the offensive in Idlib by the Syrian army and the Russian military will begin in the near future.
