However, at the end of last week it became known that Russia had completed testing of two new EW complexes, which clearly create a lot of problems for the US and the North Atlantic alliance - this is the Tirada-2С and Samarkand systems.

As the information appears, EW Tirada-2С complex is designed to suppress enemy communications satellites. In fact, by its influence, the Russian complex is capable of leaving the United States and NATO without means of communication, depriving the enemy of the means of satellite navigation, etc.

“The likelihood that combat aircraft will be able to act in concert without communication is extremely small. In fact, in the complete absence of satellite communications, the enemy’s combat aviation will not even be able to organize its actions, not to mention the fact that strikes will be extremely ineffective ”, - emphasizes the specialist.

No less interest and complex "Samarkand", which can have a global impact on the enemy’s electronic facilities. Due to the secrecy of this EW complex, information about it is very limited, but experts believe that this is an operational-strategic means of electronic jamming.

“Most likely,“ Samarkand ”is a means of operational and strategic importance. This is hardly what is supplied at the tactical level, relatively speaking, into formations — brigades or divisions.
