Russia threatened Lithuania and Poland with a "meat grinder" in an attempt to blockade and seize the Kaliningrad region

Russia threatened NATO with a "meat grinder" in an attempt to set up a blockade and tear away the Kaliningrad region.

The blockade of Kaliningrad initiated by Lithuania forced Russia to take radical measures. Against the backdrop of the current tense situation, Vladimir Dzhabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, threatened NATO with a real "meat grinder" if the situation is not resolved in the near future.

“Any attempt to tear Kaliningrad away from us will end in a military clash with Russia. I don't think NATO doesn't understand this. Lithuania, Poland should think about it, because they are the first to seriously fall into this meat grinder.- said Dzhabarov, commenting on the current situation.

To date, Lithuania continues the blockade of transit to the Kaliningrad region. At the same time, Vilnius noted that they were not going to make any concessions, and based on the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry, if the European Commission adopts a document allowing transit "from Russia to Russia", Lithuania will be ready to veto.

In turn, experts note that at the moment, the presence of NATO forces has increased significantly near the Kaliningrad region, which creates unfavorable prerequisites.
