The Belarusian Air Force will be replenished with 8 more Su-30SM fighters.

The Belarusian Defense Ministry has decided to purchase 8 additional Su-30SM fighters from Russia to the four combat aircraft of this model already in service with the country. The amount of the deal has not been officially disclosed, however, taking into account the previously concluded contract, we are talking about the amount of about 400 million dollars.

Earlier, the Belarusian Air Force had already received four Russian-made heavy fighters, but because of the media, this resulted in a serious scandal, since the real amount of the deal was called much larger.

Apparently, the acquisition of Russian Su-30SM fighters by Belarus will be associated with the next need of the neighboring country for Russian credit, since against the background of mass protests, the economic situation in Belarus is very far from stability, but there are no official comments on this from either Russia or sides of Belarus.

A little earlier it became known that, among other things, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus is interested in purchasing Russian heavy T-14 Armata tanks and S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems.
