The Russian Hermes Design Bureau has completed development of a compact, high-speed drone capable of effectively neutralizing heavy Ukrainian hexacopters like the Baba Yaga. Izvestia reported this, citing a company representative. The new drone costs just 163 rubles, ten times less than the target, which is valued at two million. Interceptor drone It hits targets using a kinetic method: at a speed of up to 200 km/h it crashes into the enemy’s hull, destroying its structure without explosives.
As noted by the design bureau, the drone is designed for use in special military operations zones, where the Baba Yaga is one of the main instruments for nighttime bombing of Russian positions. Testing demonstrated its high maneuverability and resistance to electronic warfare jamming.
