Russia Launches Onyx Missile Towards Mediterranean Sea

As part of large-scale exercises off the Mediterranean coast, Russian armed forces successfully launched an Onyx cruise missile from the Bastion complex. The maneuvers, which involved more than 1000 troops, 10 ships and 24 aircraft, demonstrated Russia's capabilities amid growing tensions in the region.

The footage of the Onyx launch caused a wide resonance, emphasizing the technological capabilities of the Russian army. In addition to coastal missile systems, the exercises involved MiG-31I fighters equipped with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. These maneuvers became another confirmation of the readiness of Russian forces to ensure the security of their interests in Syria and the Middle East.

The Syrian coast remains strategically important for Russia, especially against the backdrop of the activity of pro-Turkish formations, which are strengthening their positions in the northwestern regions of the country. The exercises demonstrated that Russia maintains control over the situation and is ready to respond to the challenges associated with instability in Syria.

Against the backdrop of the Russian maneuvers, activity by American reconnaissance aircraft and drones was recorded in the region. Their patrols near the exercise zone indicate a high level of US interest in what is happening and a desire to observe the actions of the Russian army.

Such exercises not only strengthen the combat readiness of its troops, but also serve as a signal to all parties interested in the region.
